Pretty much every day of our lives we have decisions to make. These can range from something relatively easy like deciding on what to eat for breakfast (although admittedly some people will agonise about this!), to something more difficult like whether or not to hand in your notice in work.
These are just two examples of endless possible decisions that need to be made at various points in our lives. Some people find decision making easy, no matter how perceivably difficult a decision might be to make. But many others agonise about making decisions, ranging from doing so on a semi-regular basis with big decisions, to struggling on a daily basis with smaller ones.
Many of us think and say that we want certain things. It might be a particular job that we crave, or more money or a more athletic physique.
But when faced with actually going after what it is we say that we ‘want’, we often fall at one of the first hurdles that we’re faced with.
Let’s take the person who is looking to lose weight, for example. Unless that person really feels that they want to lose weight rather than just saying it, when the going gets tough they’ll struggle to keep on the right path in relation to their stated goal. However, on the flip side, the person who is determined to achieve their goal because they truly do want what they say they want, is far more likely to be successful.
So the key to success with anything involves getting absolute clarity on what it is you ACTUALLY WANT and, once you’ve worked that out, taking massive amounts of action to propel you towards your target. Despite saying we want certain things all of our lives, many of us neglect these two crucial steps. Spend some time deciding whether you really do want something or not. If you don’t, no problem. If you do, go after it with a clear strategy and an energy that will fuel your desire to succeed. Forget the easy route…if you want it enough you’ll make the necessary sacrifices to get there!

We have two choices when we are confronted with a problem:
1. We can see the problem as the world conspiring against us and let it have a negative impact on our day/week/month.
or
2. We can see the problem as an opportunity to learn and grow by finding the best possible way to overcome it.
The reality is that every human that has ever lived has been faced with issues that challenge their mindset and ability to overcome them.
The most successful people in life are generally those who look upon these issues as obstacles to overcome rather than road blocks that will halt their progress towards their goals.
A shift in mindset can transform how we view the world.
